Why Another Blog?

Thank you for checking out my site!  🙂  Life is extremely hectic for most people and I appreciate your taking the time to allow me to share my heart for a moment.

So why another blog site?  My hope and prayer for this blog is for people to be encouraged and refreshed.  There are many people and ministries posting and sharing, and as life continues to be stressful and people become increasingly discouraged, we need even more encouragement and hope to cling to.

The truth of God’s Word is the only truly secure anchor in the midst of  the chaos and upheaval around us.  God’s immutability, the fact that He is always the same and never changes, is a solid foundation for unshakable faith and hope.  Let me leave you with two verses for this first post.  They have become my “life verses” over time.

1 Samuel 12:24 – “Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 – “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

I'm a mother and step-mother of six adult kids, three whom I gave birth to and three whom I gained when I fell in love with their dad and with them. :-) I’m also blessed to have a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law. Most recently I have joined the “grandma club” as of Nov. 2020. My cup truly runneth over! My heart is to share hope and encouragement through my thoughts and experiences, based on the truths of God's Word.

  2. Thans for starting this blog and sharing your heart ❤️. We’re completely in agreement that Gid’s Word must be our source of information, direction, stability, etc.

May our Lord bless you as you let Him direct and use you, for His glory. Isaiah 26:3-4 have largely become life verses for us, too.

    In Christ, alone,
    Steve and Judy
